About Me

I’m Adé, Founder of Fruitful Life Jamaica and my goal is to come alongside you by using my training and experience in counselling and psychotherapy. As a husband, son, friend and colleague, I’ve benefitted from the help of others. I want to provide the same support, safety and resources as we partner (me as therapist and you as the expert on your life) along your healing journey.

My Therapeutic Approach

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy: The way that emotions, behaviours and thoughts contribute to our problems and learning skills for better managing them.
  • Clinical Procedures: Ways of gathering and assessing important information about a client to get the big picture for better understanding the problems to be addressed.
  • Other therapeutic approaches and resources.
  • Counselling Skills: The way a counsellor helps you explore your problems, understand them and take action to address them.

Qualifications
I have a Master of Arts Degree in Counselling Psychology from the Caribbean Graduate School of Theology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Theological Studies from the University of the West Indies (UWI) Mona. I am currently pursuing professional certifications for providing care to individuals affected by ADHD and applying integrated and nutritional medicine in psychotherapy.

Experience
I have been working in the field of counselling psychology for six years. Over this time, I have gained experience in providing counselling, psychotherapy and psychoeducation for children, adolescents, young adults, adults and their families. I also have worked with individuals diagnosed with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).
